April 2024 Update: Vulnerabilities and Domain White Label
And finally, the day many of our users have been waiting for has arrived. And not just users, of course. We bring to light one of the most requested features on the roadmap: vulnerabilities in plugins and themes, as well as the White Label of the domain.
Let us tell you about it.

Vulnerabilities in plugins and themes
As we always say, the security of your websites is a priority at Modular. And keeping your website secure is fundamental for proper maintenance.
That’s why we are excited to introduce you to one of the most voted features on our public roadmap, which takes the protection of your sites to a new level: the detection of vulnerabilities in WordPress plugins and themes.
How does this work?
With this new feature, you will be able to:
- See vulnerable plugins and themes in the updater: Both in the global updater and in the site updater, now you can clearly see which plugins and themes have vulnerabilities, along with detailed information about them (such as their severity level). So you can act quickly by updating to secure versions.
- More information on the status of security and health: In the security and health section of the site, if you are a PRO user, you will have access to an organized view of all vulnerabilities, as well as other critical web or server errors.
And the best part is that we are proud to announce that this feature has been made possible thanks to our integration with WP Vulnerability, the API developed by Javier Casares, one of the most active members of the WordPress Spain community. Therefore, we have become sponsors of his project, to support his work both with the community and with WordPress security.
If after the update you find no vulnerabilities in your plugins or themes, congratulations! It means you do not have any known vulnerabilities in the current versions of your plugins and themes. But stay alert for when they appear.
White Label of the domain
With this new feature, you can:
- Customize the report sending email: Verify your domains in Modular (configuration section of your account) so that report emails will be sent to your clients from [email protected] instead of [email protected].
- Customized responses: Although the sending address is fixed, when configuring a recurring report, you can choose the response address. This way, if your clients respond to the report email, you will know exactly where you will receive those messages.
It is important to highlight that this feature is included in any of the PRO plans of Modular.
Important notice
We have changed the sending address of the Uptime Monitor notification emails to [email protected], instead of [email protected]. Please check your spam folder, and if you find our emails there, mark them as not spam. We want to make sure you are always informed when one of your websites stops working.
You can now start trying out these new features!
Thank you for being there and being part of this project. We continue to build the best tool for web professionals.
