Modular Update October 2022: Uptime Monitor
Have you ever had a client write, call, or even show up at your doorstep in a state of panic because their website had crashed?
We certainly have. Well, not the showing up part, but we’ve received emails and phone calls.
An automatic update that breaks something on the website, a server crash… there are many things that can cause your WordPress website to stop working.
Preventing them is important, of course. But equally important is identifying the issue quickly so you can fix it before website visitors notice, and before your client goes into full-blown panic mode.
To assist you in these moments, we’re launching our Uptime Monitor feature. It’s the one that has required the most effort from us so far.
And, I have to say, it’s the first one that is clearly better than what you can find in other tools.
You can now activate it from the Modular app to have us automatically check your website, ensure everything is okay, and alert you if it’s not.
But you can also choose how you want us to notify you, how long you want us to wait before doing so, the keywords that should appear, and even what you want us to consider as a “website outage.”
So, you can now log into Modular and activate it on all your websites to avoid situations like the one I mentioned earlier.
Oh, and this isn’t the only update.
You’ll notice we’ve made some changes to the dashboard design. I hope you like them.
