Modular Update November 2022: WP Updates
Tuesday was premiere day. WordPress version 6.1 arrived.
To be honest, we’re not experts when it comes to whether or not to update to a new core release, and we don’t want to give advice. But from what we’ve been reading in the ecosystem blogs, it looks like a cool update. It comes with several performance improvements.
However, be very careful because you might run into issues if, for example, you use WPML to translate your sites. The website will break if you update WP before the plugin. And that’s not the only conflict that has been detected.
So, be cautious with the update.
What we can tell you (finally) is that if you want to update, you can now use the Modular updater.
We’ve just added the options to update the WordPress version and translations. These join the updates for plugins and themes.
