Modular Update December 2022: Bug fixes

Modular Update December 2022_ Bug fixes Modular

Today, I’m writing to tell you about some of the issues we’ve detected in Modular in recent weeks:

  1. A high percentage of connection errors when adding websites.
  2. Errors in the initial backups.
  3. The sorting of sites by the date of their last visit disappeared on the dashboard.
  4. Error in the Google Analytics date filter.

So, first and foremost, we want to apologize.

And also, thank you because there are now more than 300 users on Modular!

So no, it’s not all bad news.

Here’s the good news to brighten your day:

Improved Connection Method

We’ve removed the dependency on the REST API, and we can now detect redirects. So, 90% of connection errors are a thing of the past, including conflicts with plugins like Perfmatters or BBQ Firewall.

Sayonara, baby 😎
Take a look and see if you had any connection issues.

Improved Backup Process

We’ve changed the backup creation method, and more of the same. If you encountered an error in the previous backups, you can delete them, configure and activate the functionality again, and it should work for you.
It’s not perfect, but we’re making progress.

Visualization and Analytics

Sites on the dashboard are once again sorted by visit order, and you can use the Analytics date filter without any issues 🚀

10GB as a Gift

We believe a simple apology isn’t enough, so we’ve decided to gift 10GB of storage for backups to the 307 Modular users up to today. This applies to both FREE and PRO plans.
You’ll see them in your account in the next few hours 🥳
